Skincare and makeup?!

How strict was/is everyone about checking their makeup/skincare?! I know retinoids and sacylic acid are no goes but my friend told me I shouldn't use glyconic acid either (toner I use daily) and also read online that my foundation is unsafe!! Is it just scaremongering or do I need to actually look through all my products 😂🙈

Does anyone have any information or expertise about using PHAs in their skin care whilst pregnant? I have the inkey list pha toner which contains a mild exfoliating acid and am wondering if it is safe to use when pregnant. I have read differing things online - some say to avoid all AHAs, BHAs and PHAs whilst others say PHAs are fine as they are meant for sensitive skin and are quite mild. The PHA that is used within the toner I have is Gluconolactone I believe at 3 percent strength. Any info would be much appreciated smile
