Hi all
Am 4 weeks 5 days pregnant with first baby. Do you have any tips about worrying? I keep worrying about miscarriages, scan and they find something wrong stillbirth everything! I don't know why! My partner is getting excited but feel I cant till scan
Have booked a private early one at 8 weeks so 3 weeks away. I am 32 and healthy BMI a bit high 34 but other than healthy cant stop worrying! Xxx

No tips, as I didn't really have time to worry as I had Hyperemesis so spent most of my time sleeping or puking.

Hope you manage to find a way to relax though.

It sounds cheesy but take it one day at a time.

I would also suggest meditation or calming sleep music when you feel like your mind is racing.

Repeating phrases either in your head or out loud can also help. The ones I used were: "I believe in my body, I believe in my baby". And at the end of the day I would say "Today we were okay, tomorrow we'll be okay"

Maybe you wont need to do all that, but it helped me.
I went through a similar anxiety, though I was a high risk pregnancy.

I was like this too at first - and on and off throughout! It's natural to worry a little but it's so important not to let it take over. I just concentrated on the next milestone/hurdle all the way through and have tried not to overthink things or focus on negative stories. Google positive birth stories and when you do start worrying try some relaxation techniques. I've listened to a couple of hypnobirthing audiobooks too which have helped me. Also, talk to your midwife about it as they may refer you for additional support if you think it might help.

I know it's hard but try and enjoy your pregnancy. I'm 38 weeks now and so for me the next hurdle is the birth! I'm just trying to keep calm and think positive.

For me the worry never went away, this is my 4th pregnancy but hopefully second baby. I’ve been the same in all pregnancies.
I’m slowly learning to just accept what will be will be. All the worrying doesn’t change a thing. It’s so hard but try to relax.
