Day 9 after having baby and god today I just feel awful. So tearful angry and frustrated. Stuck at home with 3 kids a newborn and my partner. Not having visitors is starting to take its toll too noone to talk to except my partner and still have to do all the normal housework and homeschooling dinner etc. Anyone else feeling the same?

Hi. I'm not in the same boat but I really feel for new mum's at the moment. I hope lock down eases in a few weeks so people like you can have visitors. Congratulations on your baby xxx

Hope your partner is really supportive at this tough time .Its hard enough coming out of hospital with a new baby let him run the house as you will need to catch up on your sleep Don’t set yourself up on a pedal stool to be super mum because you will fall off .Ive seen to many clients it’s happened to Yes I was a community midwife Husbands or partners have to up their game in these especially tough times take care of yourself

@Miisty think that's half my problem it's my fourth but his first so find myself doing more so he can get a break while off work as I don't want him feeling overwhelmed. Men just don't seem to notice when things need done he will do anything if I ask him but usually it's just easier and quicker to do it myself. Really need to learn to sit back and let the house fall round me. Doesn't help iv a history of depression so terrified it will flare up again

Take care women are not good at delegating it’s easier and often quicker to do it yourself but they have to learn because you could become ill My husband had to learn how to use a twin tub washing machine to wash cloth nappies as I got snowed in doing night duty
