Hi all

I know it’s hard and scary and we have no idea when it will end. But has anyone else who is pregnant seen some positives?

I’m happy my husband is home 24/7 and we can enjoy time together before our first baby arrives. Also if I need any support or go into labour early I know he’s here so I feel less lonely (he’s usually away 2 nights a week for work)

Also I am working from home so don’t need to commute and can rest during the day if I feel unwell or tired. I don’t need to make excuses not to be sociable and can just sit in the garden or on the sofa with no judgement.

Anyone for any more?

I'm 29 and a half weeks pregnant and it has been amazing not having to commute to uni everyday (takes around an hour and a half on the bus each way because of traffic etc) doing my work at home and logging onto the lectures whenever I want have been bliss Smile

As much as I hate what’s going on right now I am in a weird way enjoying lockdown... I’m finding it weirdly peaceful? I’m 38+5 and I was originally going to be working til 36 weeks which I definitely would NOT have coped with, as soon as I hit 34 weeks I really started to struggle with mobility and insomnia. It’s great having my fiancé at home even though he’s working it’s just nice that he’s here and comforting to know he’ll be here with me when the time comes! Also I second the overbearing parents... it’s nice to just have some “us” time. And obviously it’s been nice not having to get up as early and I don’t have to worry about what I look like! Is it bad a small part of me hopes nothing changes until babies a good few weeks old?! This is our first baby so a massive change for us and having that time to ourselves will be nice. I did go through a phase where I felt sad that the grandparents etc can’t come for a cuddle but ive since realised whats more important is that we are all safe and healthy! And it gives us chance to find our feet with being new parents!
