Pregnancy

9 weeks symptoms gone

Hi everyone I know this has probably been done to death but just wondering if anyone else had symptoms fade around 9 weeks and have a good outcome. I have had two previous pregnancies and both have been different to each other so I know all pregnancies are different.

I had severe all day nausea from week 5-9. I'm 9+5 today and my symptoms seems to have mostly disappeared over the last few days, I'm able to eat again and don't feel as tired. I had a tiny bit of light brown spotting a couple of tiles when wiping earlier in the pregnancy after a bowel movement (sorry tmi) but his seems to have stopped now too.

My EPU won't see anyone at all at the minute unless you've severe pain or bleeding and I've not even got a date for 12 week scan yet. I know it's just a waiting game but if anyone has had a similar experience I'd appreciate your reply

Thanks

No real advice except I'm in the same situation, and 9+5 too! At 9+1 I felt loads better than I had done for the previous weeks (although my symptoms were quite mild, I just felt off most of the day from week 6). My nausea and sore boobs came back yesterday, after 3 days of feeling normal and boobs sensitivity reducing. The placenta can start taking over from around now, so that could be why the symptoms are fading a little, and everyone warned me they may come back! I'm also waiting for my scan date, hoping my letter arrives this week so I can start counting down!

I don't have any experience but I've heard the placenta takes over at around 9/10 weeks, so fingers crossed your loss of symptoms is related to that!

Hi I also had sore boobs from even before I knew I was pregnant and really bad sickness from 6-9 weeks, once I got to 9 weeks I felt much better and by 10 didn’t have many symptoms at all. I’ve just had a private scan at 10+6 and everything was great, hope that gives you some reassurance. Early morning insomnia has now started along with headaches.x

Just thought I'd update this, my symptoms & nausea came back but much milder than before except for some seriously sore boobs. I had a private scan yesterday just to check as I was quite anxious about the change in symptoms and all looked great. Smile

Fab news - the scan, not the symptoms! I'm so tempted to get a private scan this week. Waiting for my 12 week scan date to come through, and definitely losing all patience!! Was your OH allowed to join you in your private scan?

Newmummyxx · 11/05/2020 12:08

@danceintherain18 That’s great news, I also found the private scans great for reassurance. Do you know the date of your hospital appointment ?, I’m 12 weeks today and still haven’t received a letter.
@RunnerGirl123 My partner was allowed in the scan at window to the womb last week.

My first pregnancy I have little to no symptoms throughout. I realised as I stood up and felt really dizzy and I just knew (even though we were not trying).

From then I had the odd occasion when I felt briefly nauseous but that was it. At 11 weeks I was walking miles round Rome with only a slight aversion to the smell of coffee. Was almost convinced the test was wrong and my scan would show nothing there lol.

I had a perfect pregnancy. Labour was another story, but my son is now 10 next week.

Congrats and try not to worry, but that is completely impossible I know. I am 12 weeks now and shitting myself daily and this time I am really sick lol.

I'm in a similar position, I'm 9 weeks and have lost tenderness of breasts and swelling is going down. I was pregnant this time last year and a similar thing happened but I didn't bleed. Then I noticed brown discharge and went to the hospital on week 13 on a Tuesday just before my 3 month scan on the Friday. It turned out my baby had stopped breathing between week 10/11 and on the Wednesday I started to bleed very heavy. Which was clearly at least two weeks after my baby had stopped breathing.
Now i'm so scared that this is happening again and the hospital because of the circumstances will not give me a scan.
I just need the reassurance ...I'm trying everything to be positive but truth is i'm so worried!!,,,,,, sore breasts was my only real symptom of being pregnant this time round, that and tiredness.
What can I do? The last time I ended up in hospital with sepsis because the baby had lay there for a couple of weeks. So I know that can happen.
Any reassurance would be welcomed.

My scan was with ultrasound direct and no partners were allowed. The sonographer & nurse were so lovely and reassuring though and I got some videos to download after so I could show DH. I was measuring slightly ahead at 10+5 yesterday, still no word at all on 12 week scan although they did say it could be between 11-14 weeks when I had my booking app over the phone.

@Hanna1112 I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Would you consider booking a private scan, it really did give me peace of mind yesterday. Also for another bit of reassurance I asked the lady who did my scan yesterday and she said that some people find symptoms start to ease off around 9/10 weeks and it's quite common.

Thank you for that reassurance, that really helps ease my anxiety.
Yes im trying to book one now, just have to wait a week. But fingers crossed.

Glad you had a good and healthy scan!!
