Should I feel more pregnant

I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant and I'm very high risk having had several miscarriages before and on a medication plan to help make the pregnancy stay. So I've never got to this stage.
I had a 7 week scan and saw my babies heartbeat and all appeared well 😊
I literally have no symptoms of pregnancy though apart from tiredness and tender breasts occasionally. Is it normal to not be sick? Don't get me wrong I'm not wishing sickness upon myself but I just don't know if you feel pregnant at 8 weeks. I feel like a want a scan everyday to make sure everything's ok! Lol! Which I know is ridiculous.
Is anyone else going through this or been through this?

Hey just to reassure you, I’m 17 weeks and still don’t feel very pregnant! I had no sickness or nausea which I count as very lucky, lots of my friends really suffered. Everyone carries differently. After after week 8 I calmed down symptom checking and just accepted the pregnancy was going to be this way. Xx

Clizzie84 · 04/05/2020 14:53

In my experience completely normal. I had no symptoms whatsoever, was only sick once on the morning of my 12 week scan (though I'm pretty sure that was down to anxiety!) and was actually convinced I'd done my test wrong and wasn't pregnant! Grin

I'm now 28 weeks and baby is fine and healthy.

It sounds completely normal hun, as you mentioned all pregnancies are different. With my first it was very much the same I had no morning sickness etc. So when I had a prominent bump that's when I felt pregnant.

This pregnancy nothing but sickness since about 6/7 weeks! Who knows you might find even in the next few days you will have some change or symptom. I'm sure many others will reply to assure u they feel the same atm x

I'm 9 weeks today and feeling exactly the same. Also had a viability scan at 7 weeks due to previous losses and being high risk and older now! Only had a few occasions of nausea, but that was weeks ago. A previous pregnancy (which MC) I had dreadful nausea and vomiting. Nipples were super perky and sensitive this time, but they have subsided in the past 2 days too.

There was another post yesterday asking similar and apparently the placenta starts to take over from 9ish weeks, so that is when some symptoms seem to disappear.

Hi, I was exactly the same. No sickness or nausea at all. Had a scan at 8 weeks which showed a healthy heart beat, but still couldn't relax until the 12 week scan when I aaw baby again. The only thing I felt in the first 12 weeks was tiredness, so consider myself one of the lucky ones.
Currently 15 weeks and still going well.

TTC for nearly year now. Came off the pill in May last year, had me first natural period on the 26th March this year . I had three past periods since May , induced by some meds from the doctors .

The last two weeks I’ve had cramping and felt sick and just started with sore boobs. I’m now 38days since that natural period.

Taken a test last week and today and all negative. Had my appointment with the gynaecologist cancelled in April due to current climate .

Starting to get upset about it all to be honest

Anyone had anything similar ?

Sorry new to this! Posted on the wrong bit!

Ek3009 · 04/05/2020 15:26

Hi :) I’m 17 weeks pregnant after 2 miscarriages which were both at 8 weeks. Iv had no symptoms at all this pregnancy apart from now and all I have is bloating but had no nausea or sickness throughout.

I know it’s hard to stay positive but I promise it does get easier as the weeks go on and you will start to settle and enjoy it more.

Hope everything goes well for you xx

BuffaloCauliflower · 04/05/2020 15:26

Nearly 12 weeks and I haven’t been sick once.

SJ1984 · 04/05/2020 15:35

Thank you everyone for all your lovely positive comments.
I'm so anxious about this pregnancy due to previous losses I just need constant reassurance! So thank goodness for sites like this and all you lovely lot. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Xx

@SJ1984 search my name and find a whole thread of people reassuring me about low symptoms as well! I think I’ve read every symptom thread on Mumsnet Smile

Elouera · 04/05/2020 16:07

This is the thread I was referring to from yesterday. Slightly different, as the OP has stopped getting symptoms, but might be helpful:

Emberfoot · 04/05/2020 16:32

If it helps, I have had nausea and vomiting from about week 10 right up till now (33wks), I get lots of kicks, and I STILL don't feel pregnant lol.

Overthinker1988 · 04/05/2020 17:40

I had no sickness or nausea whatsoever, at any time.
I bled heavily for over a month from week 5 and assumed I'd miscarried, then went to get checked as I was worried about how long the "miscarriage" was going on for. Didn't feel pregnant that whole time and scoffed when the Dr got me to do a pregnancy test and it came back positive. I'm now 33 weeks and I didn't feel pregnant until I started to feel movements (at around 16 weeks).
Despite the bleeding I was later classed as low risk though, so I don't want to give you false hope if you're high risk...if you're concerned about anything get it checked out, but not feeling pregnant in itself isn't usually a cause for worry.

Overthinker1988 · 04/05/2020 17:41

Sorry to hear about your earlier miscarriages btw, somehow I missed that bit in your OP.

BelfastNonBlonde · 04/05/2020 19:55

I’m 37 weeks. Didn’t feel pregnant until I got massive and couldn’t really avoid it!!
No symptoms at all while way through..

Hope all goes well - fingers crossed for you!!
