Hi.
I am 25 weeks pregnant and currently working in an admin role so not very active especially with the pandemic going on, in confined to the office to minimise contact with too many people. When I go for walks not even very far I find that my lower abdomen begins to feel tight, gradually tightening as I continue to move. If I rest it stops. Has anyone else suffered with this or have any advise.
I'm a bit of an anxious person and worry that I may do something to harm the pregnancy. Already had a missed miscarriage so think I put extra worry on myself.

Your core is under strain as baby grows, so your muscles need to work harder. You have to use your core more to keep you central as the belly pulls you forward, as your baby grows.
Even walking you use your core, so your muscles will contract when your doing something physical. Mine do when I take the dog for a walk, so you're not alone.
As long as you're not in serious pain, then I think you're ok.
However, I'm no doctor, so if you are concerned speak to midwife or GP, to our your mind at rest.

I'm having the exact same issue. My stomach gets so tight and bump feels like it's going to drop off. I'm 23+2 now but I've had the tight feeling since 17-18 weeks, usually after exercise or cleaning the house etc. It goes away by itself after lying down. It seems to be normal from what I've gathered x

Sounds a little like braxton hicks. I'm 27 weeks and my bump does the same when walking. Some days it's absolutely fine tho. I also put it down to baby's position as some days are more uncomfortable than others. X

It’s not very nice, but I was told it is totally normal- as long as it isn’t coming and going at regular intervals!

These sound like Braxton Hicks. I get these where it feels like the tummy muscles are knitting back together.

I’m having this the past few days too. Only happens when I’m cooking or cleaning not sure if it’s a sign to slow down.

Thanks ladies, it's so good to know its not just me. My bump feels, so heavy already and I've still got 15 weeks to go...maybe a bump support will help later down the line.
