Hi i am hoping someone on here may be able to help/advise.
I am 10 weeks pregnant, and have been severely sick and suffered with all day and night nausea from 6 weeks, being diagnosed with HG and losing 8kg in 4 weeks.
since yesterday, my symptoms of sickness just slowly stopped happening through the day, today i havent even felt nausea. instead,’i have felt extreme hunger, like stomach pain from being hungry.
i still have slightly sore boobs, but have managed to actuallt get up, shower, leave the house today.

should i be worried?! is this normal for this to happen?
it sounds so nuts but i kind of want to feel a bit sick again haha.

thanks for any advice in advance x

Hi I’m exactly the same 10weeks ish tomorrow iv been constantly sick nauseous from around 5 weeks. Had tablets from the doctor to help etc. Only the last week iv had a few days where iv felt ‘normal’ which like you was glad about but also scared incase something was wrong but then boom the next day felt horrendous again. Iv read other posts and most say it’s normal for symptoms come and go. Try not to worry too much but I know that’s easier said than done I’m hoping il be less anxious after my 12 week scan. X

Your symptoms disappear once the placenta takes over. It can be anything from 10-16+ weeks for symptoms to disappear. It's normal 😊

sarahc336 · 03/05/2020 15:43

My symptoms greatly improved around 9/10 weeks this pregnancy, the placenta starts to take over so thinknits quite normal and common xx

@OoOoBabyLove mine calmed down at 10!weeks then came back at 12 weeks for a few days now nothing! I feel brand new Grin (14 weeks) placenta takes over between 8-10 so it's normal for symptoms to come and go Smile xx

OoOoBabyLove · 03/05/2020 17:22

Normal! So dont worry - and hopefully your second tri will now be a breeze :)

I never readlly had any symptoms at all - until I developed a massive bump and crippled pelvis.

and congrats by the way...!

OP- I was going to ask a very similar question! I haven't been sick, but have had perky, erect, sensitive nipples since BFP. 9 weeks tomorrow, but past 2 days, the nipples just seen normal. I'm pleased to read that some symptoms do seem to go at this stage.

KotoMoto · 03/05/2020 19:55

It's completely normal OP! Smile Symptoms come and go at complete random!

Stay well xx

OoOoBabyLove · 03/05/2020 20:25

ive eaten a roast and it was delicious!
i prepped myself to have HG the entire way through pregnancy, but to be honest, i suppose it could just come back!

I’m exactly the same , 10+4 today and feeling a lot better! We had a roast today and my OH commented that it was the most I had eaten in ages!

Hi @OoOoBabyLove

can you please tell me how this turned out? I’m 10.5 weeks with HG and symptoms dissapeared. So odd. Really worried. Thanks!

OoOoBabyLove · 07/03/2024 06:18

@Tuesday23 everything worked out great! I have a 3 year old now so pregnancy went well! I had bouts of sickness from this point onwards until about 26 weeks! I also now have another 1.5 year old and had 0 sickness in that pregnancy so fingers crossed yours clears very soon.

@OoOoBabyLove thats great!

im currently 10. 5 weeks and its just switched off… I had it for my entire pregnancy last time so of course I am just so confused by this?!? Were you on meds when yours switched off?

OoOoBabyLove · 07/03/2024 06:57

Nope no meds involved. Just complete nausea and sickness 24/7 to real hunger!

@OoOoBabyLove wow you did hg with no meds! Impressive. Thanks for your reply. You don’t often hear of if switching off so early, especially hg, so I am just hoping everything is ok
