Positive pregnancy test

Hi Ladies,

I need your advice.

I took Tesco's pregnancy tests and 3 came back with faint positive over the last 3 weeks. Since then I have taken more tests and no line. Yesterday I took a cheap Freedom pregnancy test and it came straight away with a very dark positive. Got really excited and took a digital tesco one with first wee and another freedom this morning, both negative.

I am really confused now :( has anyone experienced something similar.

Have you missed a period? If not it might be too early to test. Otherwise I’ve heard that pink dye tests are more reliable than blue, so it might be something to do with that?

Hi OP, not surprised you are confused! Have you missed a period? How far gone do you think you should be? Any bleeding/cramping?

I've seen some bad reviews about the Tesco pregnancy tests, can you get a pink dye test? First response are good, or I just used a coop cheapie.
Also digitals are the least sensitive of all the tests so it's not uncommon for them to show negative in very early pregnancy.

Hi both, thank you for the quick response.

I haven't missed a period yet however I had my last period in beginning of April and two weeks after around mid April started to bleed for about 3, 4 days which was strange. I've been cramping and feeling a little bit tired but nothing else. The freedom test that I took last night and was positive was a pink dye one but had negatives today Sad also my cycle is irregular which makes things even harder to track

Do you have an average cycle or are they totally all over the place?
The bleed in mid April could have been implantation bleeding and you could still just be very, very early on hence the inconsistency with tests (they all pick up different strengths of hcg and your own levels can vary wildly through the day).

My best advice is to wait a couple of days and get a first response early response (FRER) test. Good luck.

Thank you very much for the advice. I have somewhat of an average cycle. I will wait and also may buy some of the coop cheapies.
