16 week bleed

Hi all,

I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant with my first and yesterday I started to spot. I had a liner on and it was dark brown, then went to a dark pink and this morning it's bright red. It's not a lot (since I last checked - too scared to now) and it's only in the liner when I go to the toilet. I've got mild cramping that goes on and off.

I'm kinda not trying to freak out but some advice/reassurance wouldn't go amiss

Thanks in advance! X x

Many many women have early bleeds and the pregnancy goes completely smoothly afterwards. Could you have ovulated later than you think and it's an implantation bleed?

Are you able to self refer to a local EPU? Unfortunately there isn't a lot they can do but may put your mind at rest

Hi OP, like PP said, it's not uncommon for women to have spotting and small bleeds in early pregnancy and most go on to have a completely uneventful pregnancy.
Unfortunately, there's no real way of knowing at this stage. You just have to try and stay positive and take it easy and call your local EPU for some advice.
Hope all is ok x
