Anyone ever had implantation that lasted over a few days?
I found out I was pregnant on Monday with a very faint positive pregnancy test. Then Tuesday I started with brown spotting which lasted through to Wednesday. Then Thursday I started bleeding, very light flow. Nothing going into a pad but when I wipe there was blood and this happened Thursday through to Saturday and today I’ve had brown spotting again with a hint of dark red.
I took a pregnancy test Friday morning after bleeding and the line was darker.

I just want to hear other people’s stories as I am concerned about the red bleeding.

Thank you in advance.

When was your period due?

SmileyCloud · 03/05/2020 14:58

I had this on three separate occasions about a week apart from about 7 weeks, a small amount of brown/reddish blood on wiping, normally first thing in the morning and was there every time i wiped until about lunchtime but much lighter. I had absolutely no pain and did google which didn’t help as half of the answers will say everything was fine, half will say the opposite.

I didn’t ring the EPAU or anyone as it really was such a small amount on each occasion, everything was completely fine at my 12 week scan!

Nannon145 · 03/05/2020 15:19

@peachypetite my period was due on either Thursday or Friday this week, can’t be 100% sure because my cycle length changes.

@SmileyCloud glad to hear that everything was ok with you. I’ve been having a light flow but only when wiping for about 3/4 days now so should I be concerned it’s gone on for so long?

Thank you both for replying

I’m fairly sure you wouldn’t get a positive test before implantation. It’s also not a scientific fact that implantation bleeding actually exists.

It’s quite common to have some spotting in early pregnancy.

Nannon145 · 03/05/2020 16:27

@BeingATwatItsABingThing I’ve read that also. God knows what’s going on with me then

There are loads of threads on here about bleeding in early pregnancy. If it’s only when you wipe and brown, I would be less inclined to be worried. As you’re so early, there would be nothing a doctor or midwife could do other than tell you to wait and see unfortunately.

I had a chemical pregnancy last year. Bright red blood as essentially my period started. Made an appointment with my doctor who told me to test again in a week and see. I got a negative test. The fact that yours got stronger I would say is a good sign.

@BeingATwatIsABingThjng ok thank you for your advice. Il be doing another test in the morning to see what it’s like because haven’t done one since Friday and had some bleeding since then too. It has been red blood but not a lot of it at all. Never enough to actually end up marking a pad. Been wearing 1 of for the whole day and at the end of the day it’s dry or very minor spots in it. So we will just see. Just that waiting game that is horrible isn’t it. But again, thank you for commenting xx

I hope it’s good news for you. Smile

@BeingATwatItsABingThing did the tests this morning and got very strong lines and a positive on a digital! Very happy.
Rang my GP and he said it's very normal to have bleeding early on and for me to ring back next week if I feel I want an early scan and still have concerns.
Praying that baby sticks around 🙏

Amazing news! Grin Stay put little baby!

Nannon145 · 09/05/2020 11:10

@BeingATwatItsABingThing took a clear blue week indicator this morning and it came up with 1-2 when I thought I was 5+3 💔

Hmm... I have heard that they can’t be relied upon as they have such a wide range and not everyone’s HCG rises in the same way.

Nannon145 · 09/05/2020 11:48

Trying not to worry about it, but paired up with the spotting I can't help but think it's not looking good @BeingATwatItsABingThing

Have you been taking regular FRERs or ICs? I tested for weeks and could see the progression.

I did get a fainter positive again but I tried diluting the same FMU with water and got a strong positive again. It’s called the Hook Effect.

Nannon145 · 09/05/2020 15:06

I've been using cheap home bargains tests and seen a slight progression day by day but this mornings one looked lighter. I've got some more first response coming Monday or Tuesday.

Sorry what's the hook effect? X @BeingATwatItsABingThing

Try two tests with FMU. One without water and one diluted.

If I were you, I’d be looking to book a private scan for about 7-8 weeks. A heartbeat would be visible at that stage.

What actually put water with the urine? Or do another sample after you've drank?

That's crazy! Didn't realise that was possible. Yes, I'm going to speak to my doctor and Monday and organise an early scan x

Yeah, put water in with the urine sample. About half and half I believe.

🤞 it’s all good for you. Let me know what happens.

Genna85 · 11/07/2021 14:20

I've been having cramps the last 2 days, sharp shooting pains in my groin and vagina. Lower back ache. I dipped my urine in an ovulation strip earlier and this is the result... I know I need to do a pregnancy test and will do when I get to the shops tomorrow.
