12 week scan - baby gender guesses ??

Hi guys!!

So I am 14 weeks pregnant and have had my dating scan at 12 +4 weeks pregnant. We are having our first baby and are so excited!

Our 20 week scan isn’t till mid June so we won’t be knowing the gender before then. We don’t mind whether we have a girl or boy as it is our first but really want to know what we’re having.

Could any of you guys guess from my 12 week scan image what you think the gender could be based on all the theories or experience?

I will post once I find out!

Girl!! The nub seems lovely long and flat with the two seperate parts of the white line poking out the bottom area, plus the spine is curved giving the impression that the nub is sticking up which i dont think it is!, but i would put my £1 on pink Hope Im right after such a write up

@stairgates thank you for your response. That's interesting now it's really 50/50 for me with the responses received. Personally I had interpreted the nub theory as a girl but I don't really know if I am reading it right to be honest.

We couldn't wait so we have now booked a private scan for 2 weeks time on the 18th 😃will let you know the answer

I'd guess a boy as it looks like the nub is greater than 30• angle. Definitely pointing more upwards than straight! How exciting! Let us know what you're carrying! I get my first scan 3 weeks today and I'll be 12+4! I'll be looking for sex guesses too!

@Amelia0911 awww how lovely! And how wrong were some of us 😂I was there were private scan opportunities near me! I'd definitely be going for it but the nearest one would a 5hr trip just to drive there and back!

Hi,myself and my fiance went for our 12 week scan,very active baby couldn't stop somersaulting for midwife's!! My cravings aren't for chocolate but I do enjoy fizzy sweets. I crave anything savoury favourite thing to eat is salt and vinegar crisps!! Could we have everyone's opinion on our baby's scan?
