I know this sounds absolutely ridiculous but now I’m curious, I’ve ate sooooo much shit and junk food this pregnancy(I know I shouldn’t have 😩) is that going to effect babies weight at birth?

Not necessarily .. I didn’t exercise for the first trimester, did a bit in the second and nothing in the third, ate so much junk food, couldn’t stop myself, especially in third and had a sedentary job and had an 8lb1oz baby. Not tiny but I think over 9lbs is considered big/a problem. I did put on a stone and a half though which I am now struggling to lose Sad. In comparison I ate more healthily, exercised loads with my other baby and she was 7lb9 so not much in it.

Not necessarily although it might have made you gain a bitter body fat yourself. Unless you have gestational diabetes. I had it without realising until last month and now my baby is predicted to be over 9 pounds !

I ate quite unhealthily during my pregnancy because I had hyperemesis and there were few foods I could eat without vomiting. I ate an insane amount of potatoes.
My son was 8lb6oz, so a decent size but not particularly big.

I'm having the same thoughts, never eaten so much shite in my whole life 😂 not sure if it means i'll have a big baby or not but i'm certainly going to be a beast after i've given birth haha!

It's sugar specifically that can make a baby bigger, particularly in the last few weeks.

I had a large-ish baby first time round which resulted in a difficult birth and so for baby number 2 I had extra scans. My consultant told me to avoid all sugar. I did and I had a 7lb6 baby.

I feel your pain! I’m a sugar addict and haven’t gone a day without chocolate (since the morning sickness finished at least). Plus the copious amount of pizzas we’ve eaten just lately!
Luckily I’ve only put on 1.5st in total and at my last scan, my baby was on track to be 7.5lb at birth so fingers crossed there’s not too much of a link there...
