Miscarriage at 9 weeks

Hello... was just curious if anyone has had similar experiences after their miscarriage. I had a miscarriage last week at 9 weeks. I had very heavy bleeding and cramps. However they completely passed after a couple of days. Before the miscarriage happened, my pregnancy symptoms such as the sickness and frequent urination had started to disappear. However, the last 2/3 days I've started to need to wee more frequently, been all over the place with my emotions. ( one minute I'm happy the next I'm crying) and I also started waking up feeling very sick. Not sure why these have returned ?🤷‍♀️ could anyways suggest why x

Hi! So sorry to hear about your miscarriage - I had a MMC at 11 weeks last year and it was such a hard time. I was the same as you - the miscarriage passed fairly quickly (but painfully) and bleeding etc subsided. I do know that pregnancy hormones are still in circulation for like 4-6 weeks after a miscarriage so your body takes a while to settle down. I remember I just felt emotional and tired and almost like I was living in a dream world for weeks afterwards. It's definitely normal for pregnancy hormones to stick around but get in touch with your Dr if you are concerned. I was still having positive pregnancy tests until about 4 weeks afterwards. Hope that helps! Thanks

I’m so sorry to hear this. On the basis the hormones are still in your body unfortunately you may still feel pregnant. It’s such a cruel process. Sending positive vibes x

I’ve had a few miscarriages and usually my symptoms disappear within a few days of the bleeding starting. Was it a confirmed miscarriage? I mean were you scanned?

It might be worth contacting your EPU. I’m wondering about the possibility of you having retained some of the material or maybe having a UTI. Is a pregnancy test still strongly positive? Sorry for your loss. Having to endure pregnancy symptoms when you know you’ve miscarried is a particularly cruel thing to happen.

Thank you so much for your replies. Means a lot and gave me a lot of insight. Well I feel like I never gave myself time to grieve due to not wanting to upset my partner. But it was a confirmed miscarriage. I have severe bleeding , had a scan and they was unable to locate the pregnancy. Then the blood test were taken every 48 hours which confirmed the decline of hcg. My last blood test hcg level was 12 but that was 4 days ago. So I'm sure it would be 0 by now. Yeah I might contact my doctors and see what they suggest. Also, when I had my bleed I passed something like a clot like( but defo not a clot) . The bleeding went and then a day later got really heavy and I passed the same thing and then the bleeding completely stopped. So not sure what that could have been . My epu is not much help either😔xx
