I had a miscarriage 5 weeks ago I was only 6 weeks into my pregnancy at the time, I bled for 2 days and I ovulated 13 days later, I am now 1 week late for my “expected” period and I feel like I have every symptom possible BUT getting negative tests 😕 I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this? I will be calling my dr on Monday to see what they advise and wil also be still doing tests

Hello, I miscarried on 13/03/20 and I caught pregnant shortly after, I'm now 7 weeks pregnant, so it definitely can happen :)

Sorry for your loss. This is pretty common - the first cycle post miscarriage can be completely messed up (I’ve seen people call it the WTF cycle) so try not to get carried away symptom spotting as it may just be your hormones settled down after your loss. Not uncommon for your period to be “late” post miscarriage too. And ovulation can be quite hard to pinpoint as well. Would advise try to wait it out and only test every week or so unless anything changes. Also - keep having sex just in case you misjudged ovulation timing. Hope you get your BFP or your period soon so you know what’s happening! Good luck.

Should add - by all means it’s possible to get pregnant the first cycle, fingers crossed that turns out to be it for you.

This has happened to me!

I had a miscarriage 28/1 and found out I was pregnant start of March - it definitely took longer to get a positive test when I felt I had symptoms. I'm now 11+5 and had a scan and everything's going well and baby is great!

It definitely does happen - I've been reading that your body goes into protective overdrive after a miscarriage and so it can be more likely to go well.

The only thing is I've found it difficult to work out my dates and was actually 2 weeks behind what I thought. This caused a bit of issue with when to have scans/tests/appointments but all sorted now.
