NHS resuming some services

I've just seen they have committed to the NHS re opening some services

Do we think this might mean scans resume and midwife appointments might get booked back in fact to face ?

Currently 31 weeks high risk but so far my extra scans have been cancelled and I'm waiting to find out if they are cancelling the 32 week one 😩

Not sure about antenatal but the announcement just made was about fertility treatments... ie ivf. Not just nhs effected, private clinics had been closed too and can now reopen

I think it may be your area effected as my friend and sil antenatal appointments have not been effected

I thought all Maternity services were continuing as normal or has this changed again? Im 25 weeks pregnant and have still had regular face to face appointments and midwife said there is no plans to change this at my last appointment 2 weeks ago

princess where I am, most antenatal appointments are now over the telephone. I have had no face to face appointments yet aside from scans.

I think they will stick have appointments over the phone for a while if it’s possible, but they shouldn’t have cancelled growth scans really , they’re really important. I have had one at 32 and got another at 36, they are still running them so maybe ring and press for them to go ahead

@princesspeppax where I am everything is virtual . Scans are cancelled and midwife appointments are fewer .

I am Kent . It really sounds like it depends on your area although most people due at the same time as me on another baby board are sharing my experience and having scans cancelled across the country .

I am so hoping that my 32 week goes ahead. The last midwife I spoke to told me I really need it and if they try and cancel fight it .. I just didn't expect it to be my job to fight for the scan I've been told I needed

It's ivf and fertility clinics service I'm afraid
