5 weeks with brown spotting, panicking

I am currently at work, and I went to use the restroom when I wiped there was brown discharge. And I am cramping. I'm really scared. My mom is a nurse, but I don't want to alarm her unless it continues or gets worse. I know that this can be a normal thing, but it's still freaking me out. I feel like having a mental breakdown.

Hi, Please don't panic. Its is quiet common to have brown discharge and cramping right now. If you very concerned please call your midwife to let her know and get an early scan done.

And Yes congratulations ☺️

I've had the nasty rusty blood. DS is a great big strapping lad now. It is scary though

I had this for the first two months when my period would have been due.
Could you ring the community midwife team for some reassurance.

trezher · 01/05/2020 16:52

It's just scary because this is exactly how my periods start off. What if I had false positive pregnancy test? My period was only a few days late when I took the pregnancy test, but I had two and they both came back positive. I have an appt for May 11th, but if this progresses I plan on going to the hospital.

How are things today @trezher?

trezher · 02/05/2020 21:00

@ouchjuststoodonlego it's still occurring, but just very little and only when I wipe. It hasn't turned red or anything though, so I've calmed down.

Oh I have everything crossed for you. Smile
It sounds very much like me for the first two months. I spoke to the midwife and she said not to worry unless it got heavier. I had my scan two weeks ago and all was well.
