Hi all,

I am 41 and thinking of doing the NIPT scan for peace of mind. I have been googling but where does them and are they doing them right now?

I'm in Glasgow. I've not been given the results of my NHS screening test so had a wobble and called everywhere literally today.

www.gcrm.co.uk/treatments/harmony-prenatal-test/

are open and offering the Harmony test as usual. Cost is £520.

Hi, I was on the same hunt last week! All private hospitals are closed so the only place I could find was Ultrasound Direct. They've got pretty reasonable reviews a site in Glasgow. I'm booked into the Cardiff one for next week 👍

Cheers guys. Oft £520. It is a lot but peace of mind would be good. Are they pretty accurate?

I had one in ABC4D they have a city centre clinic and one in Motherwell. I'm not sure if they are operating at the minute now.

Thanks guys. I went for it. Booked in online for Friday. Awaiting to have it confirmed once they are open. Went with Ultrasound Direct in city centre.

I have asked the question and this is mainly because of my last pregnancy that ended with a 12 week scan and no heart beat.

I am assuming if we go and when the scan and if that happens again (fingers and toes crossed it doesn't) they won't charge me the huge fee will they? Happy to pay for just the scan but not 100's of pounds. Wouldn't need that on top of devastating news. Xxxx

Sorry I tend to massively overthink things!

@Sheera1 I would imagine they would only charge you for the scan in that situation( fingers crossed all is well). I had two attempts at the NIPT both times results came back insufficient foetal dna to process a result, I was refunded most of the fee, only charged for the scan.

Oh that is good. I have a high BMI so was wondering about that too x
