Soft ties?

Hi all

Just had a anxiety group meeting and the mental health midwife was asking is we knew all about what these soft ties are and why people want to use them over the plastic clip to clamp the umbilical cord.

I had heard of it so wondered if anyone else could enlighten me?

I don't know what soft ties are but those plastic clips are awful and got in the way of skin to skin. Won't allow them to put them on my next dc looking for alternatives.

You can get fabric cord ties rather than clips. Some of them are very pretty but I know some doctors are against them
