What were your earliest symptoms please?

I really am symptom spotting and I just can't help it. It's the only think that gets me through the tww! Apologies if I have put this in the wrong section.

AF style cramps started a week before AF was due but it never arrived.

Metallic taste in mouth & excessive saliva. Intense sense of smell. These symptoms were when it was still too early to do a pregnancy test

Despite actively ttc and taking clomid, I’d completely written off that cycle as a disaster and hadn’t really done the 2WW thing or symptom spotted as we’d only managed to have sex once (DH was away and then really unwell) and I was convinced it was the wrong time anyway. It was our last cycle of clomid and I’d absolutely resigned myself to the fact that it hadn’t worked. We were in the run up to our wedding, work was crazy and I thought my period had started (the day of my final dress fitting!). My periods always start light and can stop/start for a few days so I didn’t think much of the fact it stopped, was just waiting for it to come back.

When it didn’t, and we got our BFP, I was able to think back and connect the dots. I’d been weeing loads more, which I’d mused to my friend at work was maybe due to switching to camomile tea whilst at work! I’d also said a few times that I thought I was coming down with something as I felt really tired and out of sorts, Falling asleep on the sofa and going to bed at 8.30 - that continued till about 18 weeks to be fair! Around 6 weeks the sore boobs started.

Tiredness, insomnia, nausea, dizziness and needing to wee ALL THE TIME

Sore, stinging nipples.
Metallic taste in the mouth.
The nipples gave everything away, every time.
Willing to kill for a milkshake and anything greasy. I used to eat olive oil off teaspoons during pregnancy. So weird!
Going off tea.
That's all before I even tested.

In both pregnancies, falling asleep. Like if I sat down for more than a couple of minutes I was asleep.

A positive test - nothing else that couldn't have been premenstrual.

I don't know if this is a symptom as such but I had hardly any cm during my tww.

Constipation. Turns out l was the only person in the world who didn't know this was a symptom!!

Post positive pregnancy test, classic symptoms of morning sickness and tiredness set in.

My first symptom was definitely bloating. I remember putting on my favourite summer skirt for work and it being tight. I was so miffed that I even joked with DH about it, can remember that quite vividly. I then started feeling slightly nauseous on a morning.

I wasn't looking for symptoms though, the pregnancy was completely unplanned. One morning, after about a week of these symptoms (I know... duh!) I was walking to work when the penny dropped. I was pregnant. It hit me like a spade! I was actually dazed with shock. Due to moving house and it being a hectic month I'd missed a couple of pills... and the result is now 16yrs old

I'm only 5dpo so still have a way to go. But interesting to see how everyone felt! I currently have a bit of uti so stuck on the sofa thinking about how long this tww is.

My first this time was definitely heightened sense of smell. I could smell everything really strongly! Breast tenderness and nausea kicked in after my BFP!

Couple of odd dreams, crying little tears at silly things like films or slight heated discussion 😂
Nipple soreness which left then came back to the point I thought they may fall off!
Temp gauge totally off... freezing in thick pjs then boiling..
What felt like a UTI...

Now I'm very nauseous, tired with the odd lower back pain and pelvis pain.

@Elmlee wow, it's way too early to tell for me as I'm only 6dpo. But I've got a strange UTI... and urine really smells (tmi) I used to really suffer with them but haven't for months! Woke up in the night absolutely boiling and just couldn't quench my thirst. I'm sure I'm just looking for anything though I'm sure it's probably not even related! Just seems different to normal...

Awww, best of luck @Bailey93! It must be all the more consuming from being stuck in the house...

I was similar to @AliasGrape in that I was on Clomid, had no idea if I'd ovulated that cycle and had pretty much written it off, so also have to look back to 'join the dots'.

I definitely had sore boobs, and put it down to the medication BUT the weirdest one for me - and I think this must have been an early symptom - was that even a few days after we must have conceived, I had awful car sickness! Never had it before, or since the first few weeks of pregnancy and wasn't actually sick, but I just couldn't stand being in the car. I remember coming back from the in-laws on a 2 hour drive that felt like 6 .

I went off alcohol and felt sick at 11am every day. I was also sick when I went for a run! Bizarre

1st pregnant age 31 - trying on boots in tkmax and I stood up and the room spun. 5 weeks. In the week before was complaining that I was coming down with something. Had a boy. Virtually no symptoms the whole pregnancy.

2nd Pregnancy age 38 - tidying house to sell it and had to keep sitting down as was so tired. My partner thought I was skiving. 5 weeks pregnant. Was nauseous in the weeks after this and needing certain foods. Pregnancy ended in mmc at 12 weeks.

3rd Pregnancy age 41 (today) - at 4 weeks was moaning in work I was coming down with something. Felt off. Temp was elevated. Checking due to coronavirus. Worked from home to isolate. Turns out preggers! Since then been really very nauseous, really tired esp very early weeks having to lie down at lunch. Now 11 weeks and still needing to go to bed as feel terrible. Crossing fingers for things progressing well this time. X

I’ve just remembered a random one - a lot of burping! And I hardly ever burp. It was weird.
