Im nearly 6 weeks pregnant and all day I haven't stopped itching! My back, my legs, my scalp, its driving me mad! Is this normal so early on and do I need to do anything about it? I've heard about obstetric cholestasis (if that's what it's called) but thought that was for much later on in pregnancy?

I was really itchy around this period too, I took antihistamines, and that seems to help. I also suffer from Psoriasis and not sure if pregnancy made this worse or perhaps stress - but T-Gel (extra strength) really helped!

I hope you stop itching soon! Smile

@LilianBarros thank you! I'll mention it to the midwife at my booking appointment if it doesn't improve. I read on another thread that itching this early on can be a sign of twins?! Don't know how true it is!

I've been really itchy between weeks 6-9 and I think it's a combination of skin being stretched so probably going a bit dry and hormones. If it continues something to mention to your midwife but I think at the early stage it's quite common xx
