Brown discharge 4 days before period

I am not due to come on my period for 4 days and been trying to conceive, today I have felt very sluggish and I have some mild cramping and brown discharge.
As my period isn't due for 4 days could this be implantation? And is it to early to do a a pregnancy test?

I'd say it's a pretty good chance of it being implantation bleeding. I had just that! Good luck xx

@Mamahannah2019 fingers crossed the cramping is very mild and still only brown when I wipe!
Last August I had a miscarriage and I’ve been trying ever since I’ve got everything crossed I’ve been taking folic acid and multi vitamins every day tracking my ovulation and period like clockwork.
I’ll wait till Saturday and I’ll do a test as that is when my period is due.

@Daniellemumtologan ahhh this all sounds amazing, good luck to you babe! Please keep me updated. I don't want to get your hopes up but I also only had it when I wiped. I put a panty liner on but it never had much on it. I used to have warm cramps all up my back and front they weren't super painful but were noticeable. Good luck!!! Xxx

@Mamahannah2019 This morning the blood is more red I’m worried that this might be my period it’s not heavy but it red dark red I’d say. I’ve rang the doctors and they said I can go have some bloods done for residence tomorrow early this month I had a uti which I’ve never had before and they said the antibiotics might of effected my cycle I hope this isn’t the case but I can’t help my mind going into over load! Xx

@Daniellemumtologan oh no way! Well I bloody hope the doctors can help you lovely. I'd be tempted to take a test if the blood wasn't too too heavy just incase there's a second line. Even if it's faint. But that's me personally and I'm a bit of a pee on a stick addict. X

I had what I believe was a normal period but very short 2-3 days max and it turned out to be implantation bleeding. Sounds good! Good luck!

Daniellemumtologan · 30/04/2020 18:21

It’s got lots more heavier as the days gone On still dark on the pad but no cramps just I know something is going on but no pain!!! I just Hope it’s not my period coming days earlier it’s driving me insane not knowing what’s going on!!!

@daniellemumtologan I had brown bleeding which got heavier, to the point I put a tampon in thinking it was my period! Turned out in was implantation! It's really difficult to tell as it was so similar

Daniellemumtologan · 01/05/2020 08:41

This is how I feel it’s still very dark but because it close to my period date two days now till I’m due on it’s very confusing, I’ve got my bloods booked for today at three o’clock. They said it will only take a day or so to come back with results it’s just playing on my mind so much I had a miscarriages back in August and the first signs were this brown discharge previous to this about 6 years ago I had an eptopic so as u can imagine my heads going into over drive. Hoping and praying this is implantation.

Good luck, hope things work out well for you. FYI There are lots of supportive TTC threads on the conception board, you might find it helpful to jump on one of the monthly threads, especially next month if this is your period this time? X

So strange and confusing nothing today at all only brown when I wipe yesterday was very dark red and needed a pad. How weird.

I've had really similar this month too but brown bleeding earlier than you and in line with ovulation. Apparently 3% of women get ovulation bleeding although mine lasted 5/6 days.

Do you know when you ovulated?

Daniellemumtologan · 02/05/2020 22:19

Yea I ovulated day 13/14 of my cycle I did a test to check day 15 tho no ovulation is been taking folic acid and multi vitamins and trying to do everything I can. I also had a water infection few days after my ovulation which Ive never had before and I’m unsure weather this has messed with my cycle.
But the bleed had been brown then dark red and brown again. So confusing I had some bloods yesterday so I need to be patient but I really can’t think of anything else!!

I had this about 4 days before my period was due, a few streaks of brown blood , just the once. I decided to do a pregnancy test as this was unusual for me, I did the test a couple of days before period actually due (I couldn't wait) and there it was , the faintest blue line.
Our lovely baby girl was born 9 months later!
Implantation bleeding is apparently not that common.
Other symptoms for me were indescribable tiredness for about a week, I have never been that tired ever, I could not keep my eyes open at work ( I generally don’t get crazy tired , so this was weird)
I’d say there’s a good chance it is implantation, especially if your periods are very regular and this hasn’t happened before, fingers crossed for you x
