Different symptoms each pregnancy?

Only 4 weeks pregnant, so I know there's time for symptoms to develop.
My first Pregnancy, (DS 19 months now), I had terrible nausea from the off, even a few days before period due, I was Gagging at certain smells, I felt awful, dizzy and sick, couldn't eat, lost about a stone.

This pregnancy, the nausea isn't too bad so far, it comes and goes and it's manageable.

Is having different symptoms normal in pregnancies?
Have you had different symptoms for second pregnancy?
I guess I was expecting to feel awful again.

Yes so much so I convinced myself I must be having a girl.

With Ds1 I was nauseous all the time right from 5 weeks until about 14 weeks. But it was okay. I was hungry a lot and just grazed all day to keep the nausea at bay.

With Ds2 I wanted to crawl into a hole and die. I felt awful from the moment I opened my eyes until I went to sleep. I was so ill I lost weight until about 16 weeks where I started gaining weight. I think I started feeling better at that point.

The shocker came at the 20 week scan where we could see it was another boy, my bump was different and my symptoms were different. Hence why I thought girl. I wasn't disappointed, I just wanted two healthy children after being told I probably couldn't ever have them.

My first pregnancy I was so sick (about 20x a day) for the full 9 months.
My second pregnancy I only threw up occasionally. I did have much worse heartburn though.
Both girls so that wasn't the reason for the differences

Definitely. My first pregnancy was no problems, only time I was sick was when I caught a bit.

This one - loads of morning sickness and a skin issue over my chest and stuff.

Was worrying something was wrong as I don't feel the same as my first pregnancy!!

Yes my first pregnancy was terrible - had HG, felt like death warmed up. Second pregnancy was fine - some morning sickness but manageable and once that went it was fine.

I'm pregnant with my second now and so far my symptoms have been much milder versions of what I had last time - it's like my body has learned how to do it properly now haha

Absolutely, first was abysmal second isn’t a walk in the park but so much better.
