Hey Mumsnet

Just wondering anyone due in August and how their antenatal care is getting on. I am 26 weeks pregnant and haven't saw my midwife in months because they keep cancelling appointments etc.

Also when are you going to start buying stuff for the baby like baby cradle etc.

I'm a FTM btw x

Hi, I'm a FTM too and my little girl is due on 13th Aug. It's a pretty crap time to be pregnant to be honest.

I've already bought a crib and pram as got a great deal days before lockdown started then just been ordering a few bits and pieces online.

Hiya, I'm due 25th August. We have a few little bits in but it's so hard to get clothes online because all the smaller sizes are sold out 😩 we ordered the nursery furniture weeks ago but that's not due to arrive until June.

Hiya I'm due 1st August.
That's so sad to hear your not seeing midwife. :(
I'm also FTM. Iv ordered or got most things now. I'd recommend ordering as soon as you can as things are taking a lot longer to get at moment & also it's proving really difficult to get new born clothes!

Meee! I’m due on 12th :)

I’m really lucky as I moved to a new GP in January, and my new midwife there has been great.

I had my 25 week appt yesterday which she said she would usually cancel but I had been seen by the GP last week for anxiety so she wanted to check on me and just make sure everything was going okay. It’s so sad other people aren’t getting the proper antenatal care they should be.

We’re mostly done now with furniture which we got secondhand from gumtree, just need to replace the mattresses ☺️ Seriously lacking in newborn clothes though!

Oooh snap @snch - 25th August for me too! Grin

So hoping things are relatively back to normal by then...

We have been offered lots of items by friends and family and I have plenty of other things on wishlists. Also finding it hard to get newborn sizes though - I'm set on some Little Lamb reusable nappies, but no Size 1 in the material I want!
