20 Week Rescan

Hello lovelies,

I have my 20 rescan Friday because madam wouldn't let the sonographer get a good look at her heart and lips. I just wondered if anyone has experience of a rescan and if they'll just look at the measurements they couldn't see the first time?

Hope someone can help :-)

I had a rescan and they only looked the bit they couldn't the time before, was very quick.

Hi OP, my little lady was the same, she wouldn't stay still long enough for them to properly check her heart or face so I was booked for a rescan at 23 weeks.

She was still being awkward at the rescan so it took a while but the sonographer was lovely and we got there in the end. She just checked the heart and face, she didn't repeat the measurements from the 20 week scan but she was very thorough.

It was a lovely opportunity to have an extra look at baby and get some better pics than they managed at 20 weeks.

Yes, I had a rescan as they couldn't see the end of her spine, and they just retook the missing measurements. They did give me new pictures for free as her position at the initial scan didn't give us any great shots (this was last year)

I had one and was in the room for a few minutes, they just look for what they couldn't see.
Though we also got pictures as he was lying very awkwardly at the first scan.

I’m pregnant with DC5 and had to have a rescan with all of them. At the re-scan they were all still in an awkward position so the sonographer still struggled and eventually gave up on at least one of the measurements all together.

They’re all fine so I wouldn’t worry about it.
