Bleeding the Day AFTER Sex

Hi all, I am 8 weeks pregnant, and me and other half DTD yesterday afternoon. We had been abstaining beforehand as I was scared it might cause a problem with the pregnancy. Anyway, no issues yesterday and was beginning to think it was all okay, but just got up for my 100th loo trip of the night and now there is a small amount of watery blood when wiping Sad I know that spotting after sex is common in early pregnancy, but should that not be soon afterwards and not 14 hours later on?? Or can the timescale be like this? Any advice appreciated.

Hey qs88!
I've had two bleeds one at 15 weeks and one at 26 weeks. The first one at 15 weeks was after a day of moving things around (furniture - my OH did most of the work however I did some) and when I got home I started bleeeing, I had also had sex the day before with my partner and we had been on a long walk.
The bleed at 26 weeks was straight after sex.. Literally within 20 minutes and just like yourself it was spotting.
Both times I've been up to the PAU (due to being rhesus negative) and had examinations and both times they couldn't find any reason for the bleeding.. All the doctor said really was that sometimes the cervix gets irritated and causes bleeding.
Just try and get in touch with your midwife base or your early pregnancy unit if your hospital has one and they will be the best to advise you.
Fingers crossed all is okay. X

Thanks @Purpleowl94 I don't have a midwife yet, but will try and make gintact with someone today. It's reassuring to hear it can start later on x
