Did I miscarry?

Hi everyone. Iv just signed up and looking for some advice.
I am currently trying to conceive with my husband and no luck so far. However since we started trying (about a year ago) I am late on my period every month by at least 10 days. Home pregnant tests are negative and after a few days my period arrives. It’s been a frustrating cycle like that for the past year. However, this past month I was 3 weeks over my period due date before I took a test. Again it was negative. I then took one every day for 4 days which were again all negative. During those days though I was having severe cramping and then started a very heavy clumpy bleed (sorry for the detail!)
What I want to know is, could I be miscarrying despite 4 home test saying I was not pregnant? Or am I just coincidently having the worst period of my life despite going over my period due date by 3.5 weeks??? I’m so confused please help

Hi OP, this must be so frustrating but I think it's highly unlikely you are miscarrying every month for the last year. Pregnancy tests measure the hcg in your urine so even with a chemical or early miscarriage, you should still get a positive test.

It seems you are having irregular and long cycles which is something you should speak to a GP about, especially as you are TTC. It could be a medical is due of some sort, how old are you?

It's unlikely to be miscarriage with 4 -hpt, it's likely it's so bad because you're quite late. I agree it might be an idea to see your gp about your cycles if they're irregular.

Op, if it is every month it is more likely that is your cycle.

Did you chart your cycle before you started ttc?

Thank you for the responses. I don’t believe any of the previous months were but this months felt a lot like a miscarriage. Unfortunately I have had 2 previous miscarriages in 2016 and This feels a lot like that.
Up until 8/9 months ago I was pretty regular. I use a cycle tracker which was very accurate usually to the exact predicted day. I’m 34 this July I wonder if that is affecting things? Unfortunately my GP is very unhelpful. I spoke to him a couple of months ago and just got a very cursory “don’t worry about it, it happens” response :(

Are you temping to pinpoint ovulation?

I would suggest you request a scan for PCOS due to your irregular periods, I had the same and also wondered about miscarriages. However it was simply late built up matter from irregular/delayed bleeding

After a few months on Metformin my cycle returned to normal though
