Maternity PJs

NameChange30 · 28/04/2020 19:38

I'd like to treat myself to some lovely, comfy maternity PJs. Ideally trousers and a short-sleeve t-shirt. I have looked online in my usual go-to places (Next, Gap, ASOS, Zalando) plus JoJo Maman Bébé and Mamalicious, but haven't found anything I like the look of. Any recommendations?

Have you tried H&M Maternity? Their stuff is actually really nice and washes really well.

Thanks, yes I did look at H&M, they only have one set which is a short sleeve + trousers combo, and I don't like the look of it (black which doesn't feel restful for sleeping and also a tight fit which will make me feel self conscious as I feel like a whale as it is!) I just want something in a decent colour that is reasonably loose and comfy.

Boohoo ? I got some alright shorts and t shirt ones from there but I do know they're running low on sizes atm.

Seraphine

BadgerFace · 28/04/2020 20:43

Frugi has supersoft maternity PJs. I still miss mine 4 years on!

Ginfilledcats · 28/04/2020 20:46

I got 2 sets fairly identical from jo jo, the blue stripe and the grey and they are the best most comfortable things I've ever owned and wash so well. All I've worn exclusively for most of my pregnancy.
Recently bought the striped grey shorts and white T-shirt set from h and m and equally as comfy and impressed.

Couldn't find anything else I liked anywhere.

Bought a black shorts and button up top set from new look for hospital

KnobwithaK · 28/04/2020 21:06

I got PJ bottoms from ASOS .. plain cotton (one in grey and one in a creamy colour with pink trim) annoyingly the matching top has long sleeves so I got bottoms only and wear them with a t shirt. They are incredibly comfortable Smile

NameChange30 · 28/04/2020 21:06

Maybe there are lots out of stock because there are literally no maternity PJs on the Frugi website.

Looked at seraphine but they only have black ones.

JoJo have short-sleeve t-shirts and shorts, or long-sleeve and trousers, but not short-sleeve and trousers.

Annoying that they don't do mix and match!

Should look up the others but I'm getting frustrated and feeling sorry for myself so I might just give up.

ASOS do mix and match but I didn't like the colours, think they've sold out of a few.

New look has literally 1 pair of maternity PJs on their website (and they're black with shorts)

One more vote for ASOS. In terms of more lounge wear stuff I sized up and wore it low slung, made it through most of my pregnancy and the awkward body weight afterwards phase.

Clementine8 · 28/04/2020 21:19

I got mine from George at Asda, short sleeve, long leg and pale grey. They’ve washed well too.

mamalicious3030 · 28/04/2020 21:20

In case you end up having a section I would recommend a nightie instead. I can't stand anything on my tummy (had an emergency section a week ago). All the best.

NameChange30 · 28/04/2020 21:23

Thanks all.
Tried Asda and they have one pair which have "mama bear" on them 🙄
Clearly I'm too picky and pregnant women can't possibly be allowed any choice!
Seems to be the general theme of pregnancy atm!
(Yes i know there are bigger problems that finding PJs!)

Mamalicious congrats on your new baby, wishing you a smooth recovery from your section x

I recently bought some cropped PJ trousers from M&S (non maternity ones) and am wearing them under the bump and they're very comfy. I'm 38 weeks and enormous too... they had a 2 pairs for £15 offer. I usually a 12 or 14 and I went for the 14. Just wearing them with a plain maternity t shirt from Next.

NameChange30 · 28/04/2020 21:33

If anyone else is looking for similar, these are nice (out of stock in my size, of course)

Asda will come back in stock very quickly x check in a day or two. I got two pairs from there in last two weeks and they are both fab!! Short sleeve grey white top and grey long bottoms and a floral mix pair! Washed very well and super comfy!

jdy123 · 28/04/2020 22:51

Love those Asos ones! Just ordered them thank you.
Usually my size sold out in everything I find on Asos atm!

UrsulaSings · 28/04/2020 22:59

I got a couple pairs on boohoo recently. Looked everywhere for reasonably priced pj's! Ended up getting one pair I liked the design of and another that wasnt really my cup of tea but was fed up of looking and didnt care in the end!

Mj2196 · 29/04/2020 09:29

I ordered a pair with some baby clothes from la redoute as they have 40% off . They are v comfy

Sunflower40 · 29/04/2020 10:04

I've just seen some on Lily & Ribbon. Not bought from them yet, but they look lovely.

MichelleOR84 · 29/04/2020 12:27

I never found any maternity pjs I liked and it worked out because by the time I outgrew my regular pjs I was super annoyed with anything touching my belly . I bought regular nightgowns up a few sizes and they were fantastic.

NameChange30 · 29/04/2020 13:11

@Sunflower40
Thank you, I've just ordered these, signed up for the 10% discount.

@jdy123
👍 Let me know how you get on with them, I might keep an eye on ASOS in case my size comes back in stock.

These are nice but £60 Shock

Some other nice ones on the Esprit website but the prices are silly.

If anyone is looking for a nightie these look lovely (but £45):
