Whether to have an early scan?

Hello,

I'm 5/6 weeks pregnant with my first (still doesn't feel real yet). I got a letter through for the NHS dating scan to take place at 12-13 weeks. I was wondering whether to have one earlier privately and any advise would be very gratefully received. At how many weeks if good? Approx cost in UK? Company recommendations etc. TIA x

Yes husband was allowed in the room with me at Window to the Womb in April. Is that who you have booked with Hannah? I don't think my husband will be allowed to my NHS 12 week scan so that is partly why we did it. He held my hand and things which was nice. I hope your partner gets to go with you. Fingers crossed!!
