Hi Girls,

I’m 35 weeks pregnant I went to my 34th week growth scan last week and they said my baby is weighing 6lb 2ounces and I have to re take my glucose test.. I’m just wondering if anyone has had a baby this size at this time in their pregnancy and wether they had a natural birth or C section?

I haven't, but my best friend had her baby girl at 36 weeks via emergency C Section. Her waters went early and then they had to induce her, which ended up in a 27 hour labour and C Section as baby wasn't budging bless her!
When she had her growth check a few days before she was told baby was 6lb 1oz and she came out 7lb 4oz, 48 hours later!
Anything over 6lb is usually fine for baby and from any time now, your baby is officially cooked and ready to come out the oven!
Obviously if baby stays there for an extra couple of weeks or so, then even better ☺️
Good luck!

They’re estimating mine at 5lb 2 but I’m only 32 weeks. Everything else was within normal parameters but her abdominal circumference is off the scale. Just started panicking as it was my birthday yesterday and I stuffed my face with Haribo. I don’t normally!

They took my bloods to retest for GD. They won’t do the full test again where you sit there for 2 hours because of Covid. If my bloods don’t look good I’ll have to do the finger prick test and see where we are from there.

Had all this the first time around with DS. He was 10lb 5 but i did go over my due date by 10 days.

I didn’t have GD the first time either. Had a c section though and have requested another.
