Any guesses?

I had my 12 week scan (actually 13 and a half weeks) the other day and unfortunately they refuse to tell you what the sex of the baby is. Don't suppose anyone has a guess? I think boy but thats just based on family.

They can't tell you as the genitals haven't developed yet.....You have to wait till about 16 weeks for an accurate guess (although some places will try and tell you from 14 weeks +).

I'm not very good at nub or skull theories but for a fun guess, I'll say girl.

They can't tell you that early, hopefully they ll be able to tell you at the 20 weeks scan :)

They definitely do tell you at your second scan, around the 20 week mark.

I’m from a small community and they just won’t. I’m not really sure why. Maybe it’s in case they get it wrong.

Seems odd. Not sure why coming from a small community would make any difference

Where I previously lived a baby's sex was not discussed at the scans due to the lesser value placed on baby girls in some communities.

In my city they don't tell you the baby's gender at 20 week NHS scan either. My midwife warned me about that at my booking appointment.

Aww I would love a girl- I would love a boy too but there are so many. It’s in the family that I just assumed all I would have is boys. I know these are just guesses but exciting to here them anyway lol

I don’t understand the nub theory at all!

I'm rubbish at the theory so I couldn't guess.

But there are groups on Facebook and you can post your scan and they will guess if any good for you :)
