Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is doing great. I am currently 5 weeks pregnant. But I don't have much symptoms. Only occasionally i get slight pain in lower abdomen and today morning I observed a drop of slight blood. I am not even sure what is going on and My midwife has scheduled appointment at 10 weeks.

Please suggest if this is normal and should I be worried?

Thank you.

Hello and congratulations! I’m 6+5 and from what I’ve read, cramping pain is really normal. It’s also not unusual to have spots of blood. These can be caused by lots of things and aren’t always a sign that something is wrong.

If you are concerned you can always call maternity services - it might make you feel more reassured.

Thank you so muchSmile.Congratulations too!

I am planning to call them to convince if they can see me early.

Congratulations! I didn’t have many symptoms at 5 weeks other than exhaustion, after about 6/8 weeks I became really nauseous & I am now 22 weeks so try not to worry. Do you have an early pregnancy unit near you? I’ve found they are great with reassuring you & can also get you in for early scanning if they are really worried. Good luck
