Morning ladies I went for a walk yesterday and I have been bitten about 3 times twice on one ankle and once on the other and I'm really worried it was by a Blandford fly. What can I do/use please?

I was given a piriton at the hospital and I'm in the 3rd trimester. Not sure if you can take it all the way through?

Bellsx · 27/04/2020 10:47

@Delbelleber was that like one to take a day? How bad was yours? So worried it can do harm if it gets really bad.

I don't know really, I was feeling itchy and they gave me it but I didn't need anymore. You could call the hospital or your mw and ask them. Maybe Google would know. Sorry not much help

Was it a Blandford fly bite that bit you? I've spoken to my midwife who said to speak to my GP who I phoned and they said to ring the pharmacy which I did but they said I need to speak to my Dr so obviously due to the coronavirus they aren't seeing people unless really necessary so you have to fill in a form and hopefully someone will get back to me.

No I wasn't bitten. I wouldn't have considered taking a piriton the way I was feeling but the hospital gave me it so I took it. I was just feeling sooo itchy and irritated by it.
I think you should call up the hospital and ask what trimester is safe to take a piriton. I'm sure they would be very helpful.

I was just thinking about a time I was stung by a wasp and the whole area went red in a huge big swollen circle. I had to go to the nurse for that.
Stings/bites are horrible things Flowers
