I didnt really seem to have a pattern either. A couple of times i was worried i laided on my bed or in the bath and gave him a little poke, while really focusing on my belly, then once i felt him move i was more at ease

Hi ladies,
So sorry to jump on this post but I’ve posted a Q and no answer. Can I ask when you started feeling baby movement and how frequent? I’m 20 weeks on Thursday, have the odd little flutter, could easily be missed really. Had no midwife app since booking in and 12 (was 14) week scan and my third pregnancy x

I'm also 26 weeks and I can say my baby has no pattern at all either. The only time generally I can count on her being active is when I wake up and last thing at night. She's generally quite active in the day but some days she's a lot quieter. Iv been told as long as you have movement every day and it's 10 moves or more in 2 hours then all is good :)

@Fingerscrossed11 I had baby movements at 20 weeks but they werent regular at all and here there speak to your midwife about it will surely put your mind at ease

I'm struggling to find a pattern and I'm 26 weeks. I've noticed active at night but I can have some days where I wake up in the morning and hardly feel much all day until later on, then other times baby is active all day!
I did ask my midwife and she said as long as feeling every day it's okay atm and once 28 weeks that's when it's really important to get seen if baby seems quiet .
Hoping a pattern picks up in these next couple of weeks!

I didn't start feeling movements at all till I was over 22 weeks (anterior placenta).
I asked about it at my.20 week scan and was told that most women will start feeling movements by 24 weeks but that it's normally about 28 weeks before they notice a pattern.
I'm coming up to 25 weeks now and definitely no pattern yet.

Hopefully he will develop a pattern soon or else I am going to be worrying everytime 😭😭😭

Hello!

I'm 27w+ 4 days and last week went to maternity triage as was worried I'd felt no movement since the night before after some very active days!

The hospital were amazing - we listened in and could hear a strong heart beat and they really re- assured me that feeling movement 1 or 2 times a day (no set patterns) was fine at this stage as baby doesn't really develop a pattern as such till after 28 weeks.

If ever in doubt then call your midwife even if it's it's for peace of mind - but I would be mindful you might not have a proper pattern till after the 28 week mark.

It's a rollercoaster I've found tuning into baby movement ! X

If you’re feeling movements regularly I wouldn’t worry about it.

Clizzie84 · 27/04/2020 16:16

I'm exactly the same - 27+1 today and this child has no pattern whatsoever - at the moment I seem to get 2 days of sporadic movement followed by 2 days of barely anything! I've always struggled to feel him anyway and had so many emergency trips to the birth centre I'll be being charged rent soon! The midwife is baffled as to why I can't feel him as she can hear him moving on the Doppler... Really confused now as to when I should start getting concerned....Confused

@Clizzie84 apparently you should start to see more of a pattern developing after 28 weeks so hopefully not long for you.
That's when they recommend starting to 'track' movements and to be more aware of anything unusual.
