First trimester insomnia, anyone else?

Got my BFP on Wednesday, both me and my partner are so happy however since i have had awful insomnia. I love sleeping and normally fall asleep in minutes. It takes me hours to drift off then I wake up 2/3 hours later and the cycle continues. I am exhausted so can’t understand why I can’t sleep. Is this common in pregnancy?

Yup! I was terrible for the first 7-8 weeks and I know my friend suffered all the way through bless her!
For me personally. My was due to my mind going into overdrive about the whole BFP (though planned 🤔🤔) and all the questions surrounding it. Then it was ligament pain that stopped me from sleeping.

Try and do some pregnancy yoga and meditation to calm your mind. I've done it a few times and ended up sleeping really well 👍🏻

Ahh the joys of pregnancy haha! I actually managed to sleep last night, I’ve got work this morning so very relieved! I think mine may be also everything playing on my mind, I’m terrified of miscarriage as in August my last pregnancy ended in mmc.
Yoga sounds really good I’ll give that a go! Ceebee I hope you manage to sleep soon xx

I had it from conception to delivery.

Same. Thankfully I am able to sleep a bit better once out of the first trimester. Exhaustion stayed though...
