silver nitrate cervix 3rd trimester

Hi,

This is my first pregnancy so it's hard to judge what is normal and not-normal and just need seaking some advise or if anyone had similar experience.
I been having constant spotting which started late second trimester and it just increased in freaquancy and quantity from there.
I been at triage twice before and since I had some stronger bleeding in the past few days with some clots I called and went for assessment again today. I am now 34w+6d.

Previously doctors just said I had a week spot close to my cervix, however today doctor examined me and said it might be coming from the cervix.

She said in order to check where it was coming from she will apply some silver nitrate. Which she did and I didn't really feel anything, which seemed to stop bleeding and I was sent home and told to avoid sex for next 10d.

Now at home reading about silver nitrate, it seems like this is a small treatment which burns the cells to seal them and takes sometime to heal! Confused I mean I feel quite silly I didn't ask questions, but the doctor was so relaxed about it when she said she will apply some silver nitrate.
Did anyone had this applied so late in pregnancy?
I am now bit worried if it's still not healed by the time I go to labour and if my cervix still has silver nitrate can it harm a baby... Or Am I worried for no reason?
