High HCG and passed clot 5W4D

Hey all, I had some brown spotting earlier this week that had turned to a brown/red color. Went to the ER and did all kinds of test and was told my numbers looked good but to go to my OBGYN Monday to have blood work done again to make sure my numbers are rising.
I have my appointment tomorrow for a scan but last night I went to wipe after I peed I noticed a long brown strand/clot on the tissue. There was no blood and it’s never been bright red but I’m still scared. Has this happened to anyone else and what’s been the results?

I got my scan done- I am measuring slightly ahead and I have some type of cut or scarring in my lining which is causing the bleeding. I was told it could last up to 6 weeks, but we saw the baby and heartbeat on the ultrasound and were told it’s a very viable pregnancy!

Hi @youngmomma2020 great to hear you had good news. I am having exactly the same thing and it's really worrying me. I have a scan on Saturday so fingers crossed everything is ok. Did you have any other symptoms with the bleeding/clots?

@newjane I hope all is well with you and yours!
I noticed the more I was on my feet the more bleeding I was having! No other symptoms besides the bleeding but it did go from a brown to a red which had me worried. I went to my OBGYN the following Monday and had a transvaginal ultrasound which showed that I have a subchorionic hemorrhage that’s causing the bleeding. Dr said it was no cause for concern and that typically with them the bleeding can last up to 12 weeks. I fortunately have not had any bleeding in a week now.
