I'm 26wks pregnant, have a weird twitch just by my left knee. I can actually see it going and it's been going off and on for the last 24hrs in the same place. Should I ignore it or is there something I can do about it?

Trapped nerve?

Probably soomething to ignore, but someone may come along who actually knows what they are talking about?

Yes that does sound like a trapped nerve, probably caused by all the extra fluid and swelling thats going on inside you.I remember not getting a little twitch, but a full on leg jerk lol(imagine the comedy sketch of Dr's hitting kneecap with hammer). Sooo annoying as it only happened at night just as I was dropping off!
I found cool compresses before bed and a glass of tonic water helped (?? - think it has something to do with the quinnine).

Thanks, just needed reassurance really. So pleasing not to have got one of those 'this could be a symptom of exploding head disease, for God's sake get it checked immediately' replies! Have an appt with the midwife anyway this afternoon so will mention it to her but ignoring it seems to have done the trick as it has now gone away.

Thanks again!
