Pregnant but bleeding

Hi, just after advice, I'm 5 weeks pregnant, I started bleeding yesterday morning, it quickly got heavy but today it seems to be dying down although there have been a few clots but they've only been small. I've had cramps in my stomach but nothing half as bad as the miscarriage I had 7 months ago. Is there much of a chance that it can be breakthrough bleeding or is it likely that I'm having another miscarriage?

I have phoned the hospital and due to a previous ectopic they have booked me in for a scan Wednesday. I'm so scared I'm gonna get there and yet again face the heartbreak of seeing no heartbeat on the screen.

Has anyone else had this and had a successful pregnancy? I need something to give me hope? As much as i am trying I'm finding it very difficult to stay positive as this is all very similar to what happened 7 months ago 😔

Thank you

@nannon145 should mention she thought I was 5+3 weeks

Nannon145 · 07/05/2020 22:40

@Furbsies I really do hope that everything is ok for you on the next scan and the dates were mixed up somehow ❤️

Nannon145 · 09/05/2020 11:08

@Furbsies @Buglee28 took a clear blue week indicator today and it came out as 1-2 when I thought I was 5+3
😩

@nannon145 I'd suggest you speak to GP or EPU. That would be the only way to put your mind at ease. Have you contacted either yet?

Also did a search for you the clearblue digital test have a read your results leaflet. 2 to 3 weeks means you are 4 to 5 weeks pregnant.. What the test says is just a rough time since conception

Have a look here uk.clearblue.com/pregnancy-tests/digital-with-weeks-indicator?pk_campaign=Brand-Products&pk_content=Digital-Pregnancy-Test-BMM&pk_kwd=%2Bclear%20%2Bblue%20%2Bdigital%20%2Bpregnancy%20%2Btest&pk_source=google&pk_medium=cpc&gclid=CjwKCAjwqdn1BRBREiwAEbZcR43ykKS9JXwPchQMwDdPGK6_aNWtWR7VlWYBHLL_1qgd0JMxj0NigRoC8iIQAvD_BwE

I've contacted my GP on Monday who told me to see how this week goes and ring him back on Monday which I will do. Thank you for the link. I got result 1-2 so that would mean only 3-4 weeks pregnant which worries me x

Furbsies · 09/05/2020 16:02

@nannon145 sorry about that. I thought I read different but I wouldn't worry about that. My test also said 2 to 3 weeks when I did it and by that logic I should be 8+6 now but that's not what the scan showed.. Keeping my fingers crossed for both of us

Buglee28 · 11/05/2020 12:39

@Nannon145 how is it all now ? Have you phoned your gp?

@Furbsies I hope everything goes okay for you. I left my scan even more confused than when I went in.

@buglee28 thank you. Just being cautiously optimistic. I'm sorry for you loss. Hope that you are doing better.

I'm just glad to have found other people going through the same thing. It helps just to talk about it

Buglee28 · 11/05/2020 12:49

@Furbsies fingers crossed for you, I hope they're able to find out more at your next scan. Yeah I'm doing better slowly, it's a less lonely world when you become aware that your not the only person going through something
