Pressure/need to pee feeling when standing

Is this normal? I'm 23 weeks with my 3rd baby and when I stand up I almost always feel like I need to pee and sometimes I really don't. It's not too bad when I'm sat down. I was thinking uti but I have no pain when I pee, I don't have pain in my stomach or back and no temp etc. Is it just pressure? I can't bear the thought of this for the next few months.

It might just mean baby is head down/low down! I’m 31+3 and i definitely get this a lot. There’s still lots of time for baby to move into all sorts of positions So I doubt you will feel like that all the time!

Exactly the same as you :). I am 27 weeks and have had this going on for a few weeks now! It's just on and off so don't worry hopefully will ease off a bit for you xx

You may have the beginnings of SPD?

I had this exact thing and I went to my unit as I’m a high risk for preterm labour and those symptoms - in addition to general pain in the vajayjay/pelvis/cervix - lead them to diagnose me as suffering from SPD x

I’m also 23 weeks and I had through weeks 21-22. It turned out I had a UTI which I had antibiotics for and I don’t really get it now. I didn’t get any other UTI symptoms and I only found out because I’ve ordered some urine dipstic tests to use at home. It might be worth mentioning it to your midwife to see what she thinks

Thanks. I'm getting more convinced I have a uti. Weird that if I lay on left side it eases though but if I move straight back to feeling horrible. It's the weekend though so I'm going to have to wait to take a sample in until Monday :( can't bear it.

Sounds normal, baby pressing on your bladder.

The urine test came back clear but midwife wants me to get antibiotics tomorrow anyway. I feel so low. I can't do anything as I'm so uncomfortable and feeling heavy and feel like I'm going to pee constantly :( don't know when this will stop
