Movements only being felt on right side

Just what the subject says. I'm 18 weeks with my first. I've been feeling little twitches each night when I get into bed and lay down, which I am pretty sure now is the baby moving. I haven't been told the position of my placenta so I'm not sure if that's got something to do with it.
Has anyone else only felt movements on one side? Or am I just imagining it?

Baby could prefer to lie with his/ her back to your left Smile

18 weeks is fairly early on in terms of feeling movements. When you go for your 20 week scan you might be surprised to see how much they're really wriggling!

21 weeks here and have started feeling movement in the last week! (Anterior placenta so a bit later than some) I only ever feel little prods on my right hand wider lower down! These occasionally move to very low down and central but usually are on my right hand side. Always seems to be in the same area! I'm hoping this is normal too Smile

I only felt movement low on the left side to start with, flutters there from 17 weeks which progressed onto pokes. Found out I had an anterior placenta at 20 weeks, around then I started feeling it elsewhere but much lighter. Just over 24 weeks now and can feel strong kicks all over my stomach, but the ones to the bottom left still feel stronger and make me jump, guessing maybe that is a bit where the placenta isn't covering.

I had exactly the same, movements only on the right side during the 17-19 weeks. Now at 22 weeks I sometimes feel light movements in the left side, but the strong ones are still on the right side, and I can see that the baby prefers to be there, as that side always looks bigger...
When I wen for my 20 week scan I was told that my placenta is on the left side, so it all makes sense now.

I was the same at 17 weeks, except baby on wanted to kick me in the left! I’m 24 weeks now and he seems to have evened out and now just boots me wherever he pleases Grin
