Period type pains at 21 weeks

For the last few days I have near constant period type pain right at the bottom of my bump. It’s not painful but uncomfortable. I’ve also had a few episodes of diarrhoea so might be linked to that? I don’t really know what’s causing it but it’s worrying me a little - should I just chill out about it? This is my second pregnancy and I don’t remember getting it before.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

TwinkleStars15 could the period type pain be round ligament pain? Not sure about the diarrhoea though.

I had loads of period pain in my first pregnancy. It’s just your body adjusting and going through lots of change. I really don’t think it’s anything for you to worry about.

Contact your midwife and please take it easy. It might be nothing but it might be something. I don’t want to worry you and I’m sure it’ll be fine but I lost my son through prematurely labour and had period type pains at 18 weeks so I would err on the side of caution, contact the midwife and take it very easy too

Good luck.

Could be your bump streching and growing?I had 2 days constant achey period like pains last week then woke up they were gone but my bump was noticeably more pronounced. I'm about same way along as you too.

I did wonder about round ligament pain, although it doesn’t feel the same. I’ve had a dodgy tummy over the last week, on and off, and trying to pinpoint what it is I’m eating that’s causing it. I wonder if it’s the side effects from that possibly.

@BrokenNlost sorry to hear about your loss Flowers I can’t imagine how traumatic that must have been for you. Ive read a few threads on here lately about premature labour and it has worried me if I’m honest, but I wonder if that’s why I’m over thinking it.
