Cervical sweep at 38 weeks

Hello ive had my 35 week antenatal appointment today and have been asked to go book a sweep with my community midewife for a sweep at 38 weeks ! This is my third baby , will i go into labour?
Id love to hear other experiences thanks!

I had 5 sweeps which all failed. I got bad cramps from all but they faded away into nothing. A girl in my NCT group had one and went into labour 5hrs later. So who knows if they work
