I had it in all 3 pregnancies. 2 of my children needed antibiotics after birth and I had antibiotics in 2 out of 3 births but no complications.

I had group b strep .. Don't worry about it at all. You should be given antibiotics in labour and the baby checked more regularly after birth, but that's it. Oh, and a water birth is more difficult because of the IV you'll have for the antibiotics.

I was worried about having an IV but it was absolutely fine.

Good luck!

I was found to have it in my second pregnancy so then it was assumed I still had it in my 3rd. Was given antibiotics in labour and the had to stay is hospital for 24 hrs after both births to have babies monitored. But it caused no problems even though I didnt have the IV in long enough with the 3rd as it was such a quick birth

My 2nd I had to have antibiotics in labour but labour was too quick so we had to stay in for 3 days for baby to receive them while waiting for bloods to come back as a precaution. Baby was completely fine didnt have anything wrong.
