Bump measuring small

I went for my 31 week appointment with the midwife today. She measured my bump and has referred me for a growth scan tomorrow as bump hasn't grown since the last appointment two weeks ago. Apart from this though everything was perfect - his heart rate, my blood pressure, blood tests etc all good...should I be worried? I'm panicking a lot, I'm tall but have always been on the slimmer side, Ive gained around 2.5-3kg while pregnant so far but I'm eating a hell of a lot each day and all nutritious food - lots of fruit, veggies, folate containing lentils beans etc and nuts. Is there a reason as to why my bump hasn't grown? He is a very active baby and seems all good apart from this, I don't smoke or do anything that could negatively impact his health as far as I'm aware

I wouldn't panic no. I think the maximum my bump has every measured is 34 weeks and I'v had bigger than average babies. Some people carry small.

I'm not a medical professional but this happened to me and they tried quite heavily to talk me into induction which I declined. I was at term so maybe a little bit different. Went for growth scan , all was fine.

Anyways , DS was born a week later at 9 lb 6 Grinso try not to worry too much.

I wouldn’t worry too much personally, I had to keep going for repeated extra scans, every time I saw the midwife when she’d measure the bump. It isn’t very accurate, on two occasions the bump had shrunk (it hadn’t!). I watched her measure each time from then on and she was pretty useless at getting the widest point. I got so annoyed wasting hours on end sat in the clinic to have a scan for nothing. I was very fit prior to being pregnant and it seems my abdominal muscles somehow held the bump in, plus I’m quite slim anyway. I wasn’t noticeably pregnant until about 8 months and never actually bought any extra clothes. My baby was born a week early at 6lb 15, completely fine, if she’d have been full term she’d have easily been over 7lb, so perfectly average.

My bumps both measured small. It's a notoriously inaccurate measurement. I carried both by children deep in my torso rather than it all being out the front. I had growth scans both times, both babies were normal birth weights.

A friend was told she was measuring too big at her 36 week scan and growth was accelerating too much- baby born three weeks later at 7 lbs something. I had scan with DS as told he hadn’t grown at all for 2 weeks- all fine and he was 8 lb 7 at birth. I think it’s just a really imprecise measurement, my midwife told me you really need the same midwife each time who remembers and measures you in exact same way. It’s good as a very rough guide but am sure all is fine
