Holiday at 27 weeks - choice of Maldives or Ibiza

Hi Ladies,
I wanted some advice. DH has just come home tonight with two holiday options for a last hurrah before our first baby is born in Feb!!!
The dates of the holidays are both 11th Nov, when I will be 27 weeks (returning at 28 weeks).

So do I choose:
a) Maldives - 8 days, 10 hour flight
b) Ibiza 7 days - 2.5 hour flight
c) any other place?

As this my first pregnancy, I dont know how I will be feeling at 27 weeks - and what size I will be! Also - worried that a long flight and being on remote island is not such a great idea - but it does sound more glamourous than Ibiza.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I went to cornwall when I was 26/27 weeks pg and even then felt I needed to find out where nearest hospital was just in case!

Thanks ladies, really helpful advice and comments. I have been to a small independent travel agent and he is putting together various options for us. I have pretty much decided that as long as the place we stay in has air con, some shade and a pool, the heat wont worry me - I am a fairly hot blooded person typically and will just cut down sun bathing time according to how I feel... they say you will know if you are too hot for the baby.

As for the distance - again, I travel alot for both business and pleasure - so have set the limit as under ten hours. Will see if we can afford an upgrade (or get upgraded!)

I am absolutely not going anywhere without a hospital (and a reasonably modern one at that) and also within an hours drive (not flight/boat!). And I want western food - I am usually pretty adventurous but I do tend to get tummy bugs in places like Egypt so will avoid those places for that reason.

Thanks again for all the helpful posts - really helped me come to some decisions!
