Bad pregnancy days...

I’m 15 weeks tomorrow and really every day should be a happy one as I’m so blessed to be pregnant but today I’ve really struggled. My stomach has been stabbing and aching and pulling all day, then my back started on and off, only relieved by laying down which needed to wait until this afternoon because I’m working from home and then needed to go to the supermarket.
Finally when I’m not aching anymore I now feel a bit sick and have developing a splitting headache.
I think I just wanted a moan but don’t know if anyone else feels this way sometimes? Some days seem great and others just aren’t so much.

I'm 35w. Im not sleeping well, I'm peeing all the time, I feel like a whale and have to heave myself up, any moving is a challenge, I've got gd so I can't eat loads of chocolate which I would really like to do, Ive got restless legs and a very sudden itch that is just unbearable, I'm so uncomfortable. And I'm always worrying about the baby!
Waaaaah

Yaty · 21/04/2020 20:06

Sorry you're not feeling great. If it helps I really didnt enjoy the first 4 months of pregnancy. Was sick constantly, not sleeping, achey, stressed, headaches. Since I've started to feel the baby move I feel much more excited about things. I've still not slept properly for about 3 months but feeling the baby kick and wriggle has made things easier!!

flameprincess · 21/04/2020 20:15

I feel your pain - I'm 17 weeks and my hips hurt so bad already it's a struggle to sleep at night. Knowing I'm barely halfway yet isn't filling me with confidence! After I've done the housework I feel like an old lady and struggle up the stairs!

That being said this is my second pregnancy, my last was over 10 years ago and that wasn't a picnic either but here I am doing it all again - must be worth it :)

I do envy the glowing ladies full of energy though.

xxxemzyxxx · 21/04/2020 20:22

You are not alone! I’m 16 weeks and I suffered through my 1st trimester, and where it has eased up now, I still get days where everything aches and I just generally struggle, the only thing that relives it is laying in bed or a nice bath!

NicNac100 · 22/04/2020 09:28

@Dellbelleber OMG me too, 35 weeks, peeing constantly and such broken sleep, GD too which means my Easter eggs are taunting me from the top of the cupboards :( I am wobbling around like a weeble, worrying constantly if movements have changed or she's just not got any more space to move - and just want to comfort myself with tea and cake and biscuits instead of snacking on ham and cheese lol! Not long now though thankfully!
Agree with some of the others a nice bubble bath always makes me feel better (except yesterday when I tried to shave my legs - that was a workout in itself) :)

LittleBoyJuly2020 · 22/04/2020 09:33

Almost 27 weeks and I cannot wait until it's over. Nausea, sickness and food aversions for the first 18 weeks. Then exhaustion. Felt crappy the whole time even on 'good days'.
Can't breathe properly now, can't get comfy. Got another UTI Hmm

All I do is moan Grin

The kicks are the only nice thing about pregnancy!

lockdownpregnancy · 22/04/2020 09:36

Welcome to the second trimester OP!
I'm 17 weeks and get some brilliant headaches.
Tummy aches a lot and do have the odd feeling of nausea every now and then, but that is usually when I'm near food that I've gone off! 🤢
I washed my car the other day and had to have a nap for 2 hours! 😂
I do need to start doing some exercise tbf, to get my energy levels up!
Lockdown has made me really lazy! 😝

LittleBoyJuly2020 · 22/04/2020 10:03

@lockdownpregnancy I can relate, I mowed my small lawn the other day and then had to stay on the sofa for about 6 hours afterwards Confused

Foxd0g · 22/04/2020 11:28

Don't feel guilty about admitting it's shit, OP! I totally get where you're coming from and hated that stage!

I'm now nearly 33 weeks, I have painful PGP which really limits my mobility, carpal tunnel in both hands, a large baby (no gestational diabetes though luckily) who never stops moving - which hurts, GERD and acid reflux along with the all too awful vile pregnancy constipation!

It's no glamorous journey 😩. This is my first pregnancy (well, first to this stage as I've had losses before), and I've told DH I'm never doing it again.

Delbelleber · 22/04/2020 13:25

@NicNac100 when is your due date? Mine is may 26th but I'm having a section on the 19th.
Aw man bring on the tea and cake. I would love a nice gooey chocolate cake. And Easter eggs are my absolute favourite! I'm so bored of eating healthy stuff Sad

KitKatKit · 22/04/2020 13:28

Thank GOD for this thread. I'm so sorry you're feeling this way OP.
I'm 14 weeks and feel like crap. Weeks 5-11 were pretty bad nausea wise but I've been so much better the last few weeks so I dont really have any reason to complain. I have daily headaches and feel wiped all day every day.
I feel really bad for moaning when in the grand scheme of things, I've had a relatively easy pregnancy so far. 🤷🏻‍♀️

NicNac100 · 22/04/2020 18:07

@Dellbelleber ah how funny mine's May 27th! Not sure what's happening yet re: induction/section etc. I have another growth scan 4th May then meet with the consultant after to discuss options! That's quite nice you know you have your exact date in mind - was your only option to have a section, not induction? Best of luck :)
I know I am so bored of eating GD stuff now, although on the plus side I haven't ballooned like I would have if I'd have been able to eat what I wanted, so every cloud haha! :)

Seventytwoseventythree · 22/04/2020 18:14

Really glad you started this thread so I feel like it’s not just me! I’m 33/40 and have had a grand total of 4 good weeks so far. Nausea, vomiting and fainting went on for 18 weeks. Then felt ok for 2 weeks until PGP kicked in. Now feel massive, hips, bump and ribs killing me, no energy, heartburn, not sleeping, etc etc. Feel terribly guilty hating it so much as I had a long journey to get to this point and I know I should be grateful but I just want it to be over! Here’s hoping for a good nights sleep for you all 🤞

Letmegetthisrightasawoman · 22/04/2020 18:17

I remember needing to sit down for 45 minutes to rest after walking 15 minutes to the supermarket, at around the same stage. Pregnancy sucks, but the rewards are worth itWink

Zoey92 · 22/04/2020 18:18

My 1st trimester was horrific not going to lie. I had severe nausea was nearly admitted, my back pain was on another level & in my second trimester the headaches was horrific till about 22 weeks,
Third trimester has been ok but im achey now 😂 & cannot get comfy at night. I know it seems im totally complaining but not many people talk about the struggles of pregnancy. Im due 21st June x

Cherryrainbow · 22/04/2020 18:25

Like others here I struggled with my 1st trimester. It's only been the past few weeks I've mustered up excitement or at least interest in browsing baby things etc. I still get tired and my hips ache from sleeping on my side but I'm not throwing up every day atm. Woohoo x

Prettylittlelady · 22/04/2020 18:28

I’m so glad to see that I’m not alone, I don’t feel so bad for having a moan now, it’s amazing to be pregnant but some days really are so tough!

OP posts:
Zoey92 · 22/04/2020 18:35

@Cherryrainbow i didnt really start buying properly untill we had the gender scan
Bought travel system about a month ago & furniture & moses basket in last 2weeks, ive just been too laid back 😂 & i was still very anxious till the gender scan

Cherryrainbow · 22/04/2020 18:37

@zoey92 it's not a bad shout to wait until the gender scan at all. My bf is gunna be in for a shock when amazon parcel mountain arrives haha.

Zoey92 · 22/04/2020 18:44

I think because i was so bad with nausea for 1st 12weeks i waa abit "can i just have these next 8wks enjoying being pregnant before the madness of buying starts" & actually it was lovely, because once that buying starts jeeeesus it can become overwhelming sometimes. Now ive blinked & I'm 31weeks 😐😂

Delbelleber · 22/04/2020 18:47

Hi @NicNac100 I have had 2 sections before, 1 emergency and one planned so induction wasn't an option for me. Abit sad I'll never have a natural birth but as long as my baby arrives safely that is all that matters. Have you had a previous section?
I got some Ben and Jerry's low cal ice cream at the shop. I had to!!!!!

MamaBearThius · 22/04/2020 19:27

I'd like to join in moaning too please! 33 weeks and totally over this pregnancy! Admitted twice for HG sickness in the early weeks, had a mega bleed at 26 weeks due to Placenta Previa, PGP and SPD reduces me to tears, I have a hiatus hernia which is complaining wildly about this pregnancy! Gained 3.5 stone Shock and can't play much with my 4 year old. Baby's weight on Monday was estimated at 5lbs 9!! Restless legs are making me scream. Been prescribed dyhidracodeine for the pain and the restlessness but I'm too scared to take them Hmm can't see how I can manage another 5/6 weeks like this!

Amichelle84 · 22/04/2020 19:51

Pregnancy isnt the glowing, perfect expetience people imagine. It's tough and we should definitely be allowed to winge when we want x

excitednerves · 22/04/2020 19:52

I had the worst day yesterday. Exhausted, nauseous, headachey. I could not wait to get to bed. I’m 9 weeks so still worrying about my scan too. I think we all have bad days, our bodies are going through a lot. X
