Spotting

Hi!
Literally just had my 12 week scan today all went amazing.
Came home and now experience some light brown spotting. No pain or cramps.
Phoned epu they aren't concerned at all said to just ignore it!
Could the pressure of the probe on my stomach cause this? - it's just strange how I've started to spot two hours after.
Don't feel too worried but still a little concerned as I was so happy today.
TIA X

I have the same. Very light brown sometimes normal discharge then slight tinge of brown.
Although I've had this for a couple of weeks after a massive bleed.

Had my 12 week scan and all ok but don't know wether to ring the midwife or not about it.

So stressful 😔 xx

Did you have you 12 week scan after the bleed ? @lanlan23

Mine just very light brown but straight after my ultrasound??

I had slight cramping after my scan but no blood. I’m sure everything is fine but I would tell your midwife and see what she says

@Melbs6 I rang my hospital pregnancy unit and they arent worried and said to ignore it. Just wondered if pressure from the probe can cause irritation to cause me spotting? It's very light brown and hardly there this morning it was literally just a few hours after my scan!

@AlviesMam I had the brown discharge before the scan and since, it's slowing down but just want it to be back to normal.
Nothing was picked up at the scan. I should have told them it was happening but I was so worried about the scan and being safe in the hospital I didn't even think about it 😩

AlviesMam · 22/04/2020 08:23

@lanlan23 maybe just ring epu? I did and they reassured me. It's just not nice seeing it when you just want to be normal!
I had some at 7 weeks then it's returned two hours after my scan, I feel like I can't be happy after a lovely day seeing my baby yesterday!

@AlviesMum
Yeah I may well do it try midwife but not sure who I even call! They didn't really tell me much about contact numbers at booking appointment!
It's definitely getting less and less but still there at least once a day! Just want it to be back to normal so I can try & enjoy the pregnancy 😔

AlviesMam · 22/04/2020 10:43

@lanlan23 if you read up it can be normal to spot brown and the fact you have had a scan I wouldn't worry. Ring your epu or ur midwife contact number and just ask for some advice to settle your mind. Xxx
