Is baby kicking my bladder?

Helloo :)

Just wondering if this is baby or if it’s something else!

Sometimes when I feel him kicking I’ll get a sudden weird pressure feeling down below and it almost feels like I suddenly really need a wee for a split second then it stops again.

It doesn’t feel quite the same as the kicks to my belly it’s really strange!

I’m just worried in case it’s something that needs looked at, first time mum here and my anxiety is not great at the moment so I’m worrying about every small detail!

Hello. At your scans did they say your placenta is low lying? By any chance

Hey!

Personally I wouldn't worry - I get this a lot too. My baby is breech at the moment (32 weeks) so the kicks are also on my cervix!! Make me jump every time.

I'm being scanned regularly at the moment for other reasons and no issues about placenta or anything have come up. I didn't even mention these bladder kicks as I felt like it was normal.

That said of course, if you're worried about anything at all to do with your baby, it's always best to ring. Every time I've called my midwife she's been absolutely lovely and just reassured me that all is ok.

Im 30 weeks and experience this its just a strange feeling makes me feel like 🤢🤢

When I was pregnant, DD's head was always "engaged", she used to shake her head from side to side and rub my bladder. It's fine until the action actually does force pee out! She's nearly 5 and claims to remember being in there.

@Isa4 my placenta is low lying and I also get this “need a wee” feeling - what’s the connection please?!

Isa4 · 21/04/2020 22:58

Hello. My placenta was low lying with my daughter till the end. And I was constantly going bathroom. The nurses said because its low I will feel li'e my bladders full 24/7 but long as baby is fine and moving its ok. So the more the baby grows the more pressure you will feel hope this helps x
