Hello everyone

So I'm just over 14 weeks pregnant and my skin is awful. I wanted to try and get a new skincare regime to make my skin glow.... its currently dull, tired, dry and I get lots of blackheads....

I've heard positive things about the brand The Ordinary....and also about vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid

Wondering if some of you wonderful people can help me out please!!!!

Hiya. I’m 10 weeks atm and my skin has been horrendous since coming of the pill. I’m using salicylic acid by the ordinary to try and help. They will tell you which products are safe during pregnancy. Avoid Retinol completely

salicylic acid isn't recommended in pregnancy either so I would try to avoid that one as well.
I found boots witch hazel wash helped and i Dom think it contains anything you shouldn't be using during pregnancy.

Try a hot cloth cleanser if you aren’t already using one. Liz Earle does a good one, or Aldi Lacura hot cloth cleanser is a cheaper dupe. Rinse off with a Muslin cloth (comes with the cleanser).
Cream cleanser will be kind to your dry skin, while the muslin cloth will exfoliate dry patches/blackheads.

Treat yourself to some face masks, sheet masks are great to hydrate dry/tired/dull skin - particularly if it contains hyaluronic acid.
I find the Garnier sheet masks to be really hydrating.

I’m using clean and clear daily exfoliating wash, gets rid of dry skin and keeps blackheads away. Then I use cetaphil moisturiser which is none pour clogging but very moisturising/hydrating. Both can be bought from Tesco to go with your essentials shopping at this time! I stocked up last week at Tesco. Smile

Watching with interest as my skin is both dry due to Hyperemesis and breaking out in pregnancy acne 😱 I look a right mess! I've been using an aloe vera cleanser with a warm cloth to try and exfoliate but I clearly need something else. I'm aware salicylic acid and retinol are no nos but other than that I'm stumped.

I've been using cleansers and face masks from lush.
My skins been awful this pregnancy but I find going in the sun helps (must be all that vitamin d!) And I've not been wearing makeup since my lockdown started.
